Chandigarh: Dedicated to experts in the medical field, who work around the clock to save precious lives and are considered “God on Earth”, PTC Network has organized the “PTC Medical Excellence Awards” in recognition of their services.
The grand ceremony, which was held at the Hyatt in Chandigarh on September 8, was aimed at expressing gratitude to the doctors for their selfless services and recognizing their importance and value in society.
Dr. Bharati Pravin Pawar, Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, was the chief guest while Vijay Kumar Sampla, Chairman of the National Scheduled Caste Commission, was the guest of honor .
No less than 30 doctors, including experts in the fields of Ayurveda and allopathy, and medical institutions were honored on this occasion.
Previously MD and President, PTC Network, Rabindra Narayan extended a warm welcome to the Minister for the Union. Addressing the gathering, he said: “While it is the duty of governments to honor those who save precious lives, PTC Network has taken the initiative to convey its gratitude to the medical fraternity for their selfless service.
Welcoming the gathering in Punjabi, Minister of State for Health Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar said, “Sat Sri Akal” and thanked the doctors for their contribution to society. She said that Punjabis have won accolades in all fields of the world.
The congratulatory ceremony began with doctors striving to create a disease-free society through the ancient field of Ayurveda. In this category, Dr. Mandeep Verma, Dr. Deeksha and Pannu Vaid were honored with “Prize of excellence” for playing an important role in the field of Ayurveda in Punjab.
Yogesh Mittal and KK Mittal of Old Forest Ayurveda were honored with “Best Ayurvedic Innovation Award”.
Kundan Kidney Care Center (Ayurvedic) has been awarded “Best Kidney Care Services Award (Ayurvedic)” for the treatment of kidney diseases by Ayurveda.
The PGIMER, Chandigarh, has been declared “Best Medical Institute in North India” while Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences and Research, Amritsar has been commended with “Best Charitable Medical Institute Award”.
Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Sangrur, received “Best Medical Institute Award for Cancer”. Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar was honored with “Excellence in Contribution – Orthopedics (North India)” Award for Distinguished Service in Orthopedics. The award was received by Dr. Avtar Singh.
Dr CS Pruthi of Capitol Hospital received the award for “Best Private Hospital, Cardio (Punjab)” while the Ivy Hospital was awarded the title of “Best hospital network”.
Dr Gurdaver Singhwho came specially from Fresno, USA, was honored with “Special Recognition Award in Family Medicine and Nursing”.
professional radiologist, Dr Varinder Garg from PGIMER, Chandigarh, was honored with “Best Radiology Services Award”.
The price for “Best administrative services (hospital) in Tricity” was given to Dr. Vipin Kaushalwho served as Medical Superintendent and Head of Hospital Administration Department, PGIMER, Chandigarh.
Dr. Manmohan Singh received the title of “Best cardiologist, Patiala.” Dr Manmeet Batra was honored for her outstanding service in the field of “Obstetrics and Gynecology”.
Dr Raj Bahadur, who devoted his entire life to the service of humanity, was honored “Special Recognition Award”.
Former Director, PGIMER, Chandigarh, Dr Jagat Ram has been given “Life Achievement Award”.
Dr Ashish Bhalla of PGIMER, Chandigarh, was commended for his outstanding services in “Emergency Medicine”.
Instrumental in instilling hope in patients suffering from the deadly disease of cancer, Dr Harnoor Singh Pruthi has been given “Prize for the best private hospital in oncology” for the Capitol Hospital.
“Best path lab center award” went to the Jerath Path Lab and the Allergy Testing Center of Dr Prashant Jerath.
Simardeep Singh Chhabrawho has contributed to the medical field through technology, has received “Prize of Honor”.
Dr. K. K. Arora was honored for providing excellent services in the field of hair transplantation. After serving as Director of Health Services in Chandigarh, Dr G Dewan was honored with “Award for the best health services during the pandemic”.
Dr Parmjit Singh Walia was honored with “Best Doctor-Skin Award (Tricity)”.
Dr Shubh Mohan Singh of PGIMER, Chandigarh, was honored for his outstanding services in “Mental Health Management”.
Dr. Tarunpreet Singh Taneja was honored with “Excellence in Contribution – Ortho Award” for his outstanding service.
Dr Harpreet Kaur was awarded the prize of “Best Dental Surgeon (Patiala)”.
Dr RS Bedi was awarded for the best services in the field of pediatrics at Tricity. The NHS hospital has been honored with “Best Private Hospital – Multi-Specialty Services Award”.
Dr Arun Sharma was honored for outstanding service in anesthesia and pain management.
HS Sabharwal’s Tera Tera Mission Charitable Hospital was honored with “Prize for the best social service of the institute” to meet the needs of every section of society.
Comedian Manpreet Singh tickled the audience’s funny bone, which was much appreciated. The event ended with a mesmerizing performance by Nooran Sisters, a devotional Sufi chanting duo.
