Jaipur: Lok Sabha chairman Om Birla said on Saturday that given the experience of the covid pandemic, more research in the field of medical sciences is needed.
Birla was speaking at the convocation program at Mahatma Gandhi Medical University at Sitapura in Jaipur.
“Corona has taught us a lot, given the kind of situation we have been through, it is clear that there is a great need for research in the medical field,” he said.
“Prime Minister Modi himself wants there to be more progress in medical science and more innovation in India, that’s why the focus is on the medical sector after the pandemic. of Corona,” he added.
In the program, Birla awarded degrees to medical and dental students.
He motivated the students to meet the challenges.
“The kind of challenge that came during the Corona Pandemic, the whole world was worried but the doctors and other doctors in India served well, that’s the reason why we were able to fight a pandemic like Corona,” said he declared.
Birla said the students graduated with great effort and their parents and teachers have a special contribution in this regard.
The LS lecturer said there is a need to open research centers in the private medical sector. He also said that Rajasthan is expected to become the center of medical tourism.
